FogelsangstaetePosted by Illuci (Hurdegaryp, Netherlands) on 19 May 2007 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio. This is the name of an 18th-century mansion of a noble family, the lords of their time, who really seemed to be higher humans than their servants, located in Veenklooster, a small village in our neighborhood. It's still privately owned, and completely furbished like in its glory time, wallpapered and with genuine 18th century utensils such as cutlery, hunting guns, cleaning materials etc. No plastics or artificial fibres inside. |Beautiful paintings and sculptures, too. It's a museum, the owning family doesn't live there, I'm proud that one of my friends is the manager, I envy him. A must for the visitor of the area who wants to taste the atmosphere of 1770 My other photo-site: click here for Flickr
