church tower (Zwaagwesteinde)

The genuine Frisian church building style: there are dozens of these centuries-old churches with their characteristic simple form spread over the Frisian villages. Simply an arrow pointing upwards where our destination is, at its foot our remnants remaining in the earth, feeding a majestic tree. The tower seems to be smaller than it is: look at its entrance gate and you get an idea.
