The Wine Room

Posted by Illuci (Hurdegaryp, Netherlands) on 23 June 2007 in Miscellaneous.

Students of our Hotel Management School get Wine lectures behind this glass cupboard which forms the wall between the Lecture Room and the corridor, and is filled with (empty) specimens of all kinds of alcoholic beverages, and cigars, There used to be Cigar lectures, too, but these have been abolished since the anti-smoke movements. The wines are tasted and spitted out, the cigars were not smoked so not harm is (has been) done whatsoever.
When I looked at this picture afterwards I was a bit disappointed because I found the blurring effect not satisfying. On the other hand removing it would make the picture too messy, so I was thinking about removing it, because I got relatively many responses to my previous, minimalistic picture. Nevertheless I kept it as an example of imperfection and too big enthusiasm for my new processing toy (Google Picasa).
