Both have their own beauty and get along very well, maybe one could say they need each other: without tradition there would be no modern, and modern wouldn't be modern without tradition.

Nice view and good comparison between traditional and modern. BTW, your idea to be in AM3 is excellent. I'm happy to be in your favorite sites' list. You are in my list too.

The evolution of sailboats! Nice one! :)

@HorseRotorVator: Thanks, the picture is a bit blurred but the image is clear, I found it worthwhile because the moment is just right: you can just see both ships totally, a split second later you can't see the nose of the old one because it will be covered by the modern's sail.
love the grey tones and the texture in the sky ... it really does look like this on the water ... good capture.

@Raye Michele: Thanks! Nice that it reminds you to pleasant water expriences!
Your picture captures the beauty and the motion of this moment in passing.

@Viewfinder: Thanks Viewfinder, I love it, too, I noticed the sharpness of the moment only on the pc screen!
Really nice contrast in boats here. Big, small. One sail, multiple sails. Old, new. Very Nicely done and well composed photo.

I think of myself as modern, but my eye is attracted to the traditional. What's wrong with me!

@Seraphine: Nothing Seraphine, but I think the traditional isn't traditional anymore because no ships like that are built anymore for work purposes, on top of that you only come across this type in the Netherlands and Northern Germany. Thanks for your comment.
Well captured moving boats, intriguing shot.
