I recently visited the Pier Pander Museum dedicated to the Frisian sculptor Pier Pander who worked around 1900 and made many serene statues, reliefs and even coins, also by assignment of the Government (portraits of queen Wilhelmina, the grandmother of our queen). For a long time he became forgotten ("old-fashioned") but since a few years his serenity and pureness are appreciated again.

@Rags: Thanks, your question made me change the description text so that's clearer that is is Pier Pander. The description text also contains a link to the Pier Pander museum where far more work can be admired, you can turn the sculptures there so they can be seen from all sides.
Looks like a ghost. Or a kid that's going to say "I see dead people" like in the sixth sense. :) Cool.
