@ally!: Thanks ally!, maybe the painting effect is caused by the scanning which makes it less sharp, I purposely tried to make it as symmetrical as possible and took advantage of the colored rows: sea, dyke, path, biking path, grass, pedestrians path, and the three poles are also nice elements just like the little white flowers. So everything comes together to make it a nice picture.

@Jen: You are a lighthouse expert, Jen! At Westkapelle the dunes are too small to prevent inundation in case of storm, that's why a dyke has been constructed over a few miles, and the lighthouse has been built on it. At the end of WW II the last stubborn German troups had to be expelled from Zeeland by breaking this dyke which was a great sacrifice for the inhabitants. Eight years later, in 1953 the dyke broke again by a heavy storm.

@HorseRotorVator: Thanks, HRV. I don't think the water will reach the lighthouse because it can only occur if the water will overflow the dyke, but in the future, when the sea level will rise...
