@Erik: I didn't bend my knees actually, this is a very high plant! I see you are blogging as late as I am, I will follow you in the future because the sympathic thing about your blog is that I learn from it because of your texts and the quality of your pictures; besides that we share our names and one way or another I feel that as a kind of connection, isn't it weird? My son (aged 9) asked me about Erik the "Noorman" (Dutch for Viking) and he thought it was kind of German god like Thor or Wodan, but I told him he was a comics hero from the fifties in the Netherlands. Erik is a special name, especially written with a "k".

@HorseRotorVator: Thanks HRV, thanks to the many reactions on pictures of the rural part of the Netherlands, and especially Friesland, I have become aware of the beauty of this place. We Dutch are jealous on mountain areas with wide panoramas just because we don't have them here, and also on places where the sun mostly shines. Normally people find their home area rather dull because they are just used to it. Now I love the green, the water and the skies because I see how others lack them.
