ColNed Pictures from Amersfoort, Netherlands

It's a nice shot but IMO the sky is a bit to white it's like there is nothing...would love it with a bit more contrast in the sky...

@ColNed Pictures: Thanks, ColNed, but the representation of the picture is too large, I don't know how to get it smaller so that you don't need to scroll down to see everything. If you can see the picture in one glance, then more details in the sky would disturb the graphical effects of the masts I think.

It's nice to discuss pictures like this instead of making only praising remarks, thanks, I hope we can learn from each other this way, also that some aspects are also a matter of personal taste.

As for me, I like the white sky. It emphasises the strong lines, and to me this picture, like yesterday's, is all about lines. And I also think Erik is right, we should not hesitate to give constructive criticism when we feel the need.

Mooie contrasten, maar ik ben wel eens met ColNed , dat in de hemel iets veelt, ofschoon het maak wel afleiden van de heerlijke masten arrangement.

I too like the white sky in this -- I don't mind scrolling and actually the top, middle and bottom make three separate compositions within themselves -- on my daily blog I've been known to get three or more posts from a single photograph. Here though we can see larger pictures more easily, but this demonstrates that sometimes the screen isn't big enough to do some photos full justice.

This is an amazing shot, Erik! It captures the vitality of the maritime culture of the Neatherlands and the perfect - neat as a pin in which everything seems to be done in your lovely country. I think the black and white presentation makes a fantastic image. The contrast between the sky and the dock is vivid.
