Memories to my father I

Posted by Illuci (Hurdegaryp, Netherlands) on 24 August 2007 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

Inspired by Dimitrios I made a picture of the wooden alarmclock I inherited from my father, together with the book he got as a present from the highschool he went to when getting his diploma. The book is from 1935 and in a bad condition as you can see, we children admired the nice pictures of old ships in it. It describes the "modern developments" around the industrial harbor of The Hague in a time when sailing ships were already out-of-date, but still cherished for their beauty. I also inherited from my father my interest in old things such as the alarm clock which must be much older than the book. Tomorrow you will see the same clock with another father memory.
