Instigated by Stunner's "grass hopper", I post this "glass hopper" shot when I came home late in the evening and wanted to put the key in the door. I didn't carry a macrolens with me so this one isn't that sharp, but nevertheless a nice portrait. The pattern you see is the decoration of the glass in our front door.
Thank you for visiting my p-blog and leaving your comment and advice!

@ColNed Pictures: Thanks ColNed, it wasn't that difficult and I thought: "if it fails jammer dan, maar niet erg", so it was also a bit a lucky shot. The hopper was quite slow as I said.
WOW, how did he hang on there, glass is not easy to grab. Excellent catch!

Thanks Manuela, I think it has small suckers on his feet. Flies can also walk upside down on the ceiling.

Absolutely beautiful capture, dear Illuci!! Wonderful contrast of the bright green of the hopper with the deeper darker tones of the glass, and marvellous contrast of textures between the live creature and the ‘inanimate’ glass! Stunning work indeed!!

Great capture of the "glass hopper" Illuci! The shot still looks wonderful without the macro lens! Good thing you had your camera on you, some of the nicest shots turn up when you least expect it.

Cool shot!!!

Great close up especially for no macro lens! You have a cool looking design on our door.

@Rabbit: Thanks Rabbit, the design is also meant for pivacy because it makes the glass non-transparent. Before this we had a curtain, and when it needed replacement we decided to buy this glass.
Wow this is beautiful! Is that glass? It looks almost like it's water. This is wonderful.

@e.: Thanks, e., this is really glass with a decoration pattern in it, but by darkness and reflection one gets this water-effect. A coincidence of lucky curcumstances.
I think that this is an amazing capture Erik!!! the colour, clarity and reflection Wow!

@MaryB: Thanks, MaryB, I must admit that I deliberately chose this kind of glass to let insects pose on it ;)
Fantastisch vangst (?). Prachtige kleuren en details!

Quick thinking, Illuci. I think he looks quite graceful. Almost as if he is posing for you.

@aggie: Thanks Aggie, maybe he posed, who can tell?
Very strong clinging! Hooray for photos on the fly.
