e. from Washington DC, United StatesThe heron has a beautiful shade of blue. Great shot! 4 Oct 2007 5:10am @e.: Thanks e., the blue shade is enhanced by the green everywhere. Sophie from BelgiumHello! I was glad to see a picture of you! It's always nice to see who is behind the camera (and the screen). I took a walk in your photos and they're great! I love that cow! I really find cows very photogenics! I recognized the gr(l)asshopper and I loved very much the physalis. I forget a lot of other photos that I liked too... This heron is great too, I see a lot of them above my flat, we have the park with a big lake at 100m close to here.. they are so "magestic" when they fly! 4 Oct 2007 6:33am @Sophie: Hi Sophie! Thanks for your extended visit to my blog, and I'm glad you found some time before going to work! (When I blog before leaving home to work, my wife says I'm addicted to it and maybe she's right:)). After my son will have gone to bed, I'll go to your blog and see if you had occasion to post something and enjoy. I'm free to blog this evening, because after my wife, son and dog I love blogging most and since my wife isn't at home tonight and my son in bed and the dog on his cushion..... :) @Dimitrios: Thanks, Dimitrios! I find the bird having something royal, standing there as the king of the pond on the remnants of coot's nest! Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaThis is a very subtle one. Enough contrast to make it interesting and a pleasing composition. 4 Oct 2007 10:03am @Andrew Gould: Thanks, Andrew! Wolfgang Prigge from CanadaThis is a great find, and as you say, the green background really brings out the heron! 4 Oct 2007 10:43am @Wolfgang Prigge: Thanks Wolfgang, You just have to come across these situations and have your camera with you. More often it occurs that it's just not ít, something that can't get out of sight, the wrong light, just the wrong angle (you have to cross a ditch for the right angle) etc. This time it was perfect, and purposely left the bird's environment not cropped, although the bird itself would remain small. Morris J. Chisholm from Thunder Bay - Land of the Sleeping Giant, CanadaExcellent image great capture. 4 Oct 2007 4:10pm @Morris J. Chisholm: Thanks, Morris! Markus from Reading, United KingdomIk vind het foto hel maal prachtig! Het vult me met kalmte! 4 Oct 2007 9:12pm Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomAbsolutely wonderful capture...such a serene picture! Truly beautiful in so many ways. 5 Oct 2007 12:58am Amr Tahtawi from Cairo, Egyptthe blue is in strange astonishing harmony with the green great work..realy and u made me live in a surreal moment here. 5 Oct 2007 1:36pm HorseRotorVator from Newton, United StatesGorgeous colors! Great shot! :) Everything looks so calm. 5 Oct 2007 11:21pm aggie from Singapore, SingaporeA beautiful creature. Would be interesting to see a close up. Well spotted. 6 Oct 2007 4:46am @aggie: Thanks, Aggie, I went to your blog and it was a real discovery! I avoided to take a close-up (though with my camera without telelens it would be of far less quality than many bird's close-ups on aminus3) I avoided it as I said, because I wanted to surround the bird with the unique green scenery. |
