Stunner from Kingston, JamaicaStunning photo! I like this one and the composition is fantastic! For some reason it reminds me of the Super Mario Brothers games, lol! 5 Oct 2007 5:54am @Stunner: Thanks! My wife said the mushrooms looked like plastic fake, but they are real, maybe that's it, SMB is also fake but attractive. Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsThanks! Brilliant work, Illuci! This is great stuff! 5 Oct 2007 9:26am @Wolfgang Prigge: Danke, da hast du wieder Recht, es kostete mir auch schmützige Flecken auf meinen Hosen und Ellbogen :) Amr Tahtawi from Cairo, Egyptwell, im speechless infront of your creative eye, i think this is the most beautiful mushroom heads i've seen in my life.... and hey i wana live there on that street :) 5 Oct 2007 1:35pm @Amr Tahtawi: Thanks, Amr! I was astonished myself, too, that such perfect specimens stood there at that place. it is a good mushroom year with all that rain we had in August and September. But their beauty (alas!) lasts only for a couple of days, after a week they're done. Sophie from Belgiumhéhé very nice mushroom. I never seen it in real, only in the books. I hope you didn't cook it.. this "amanite tue-mouche" would give you terrible hallucinations! 5 Oct 2007 3:43pm @Sophie: Thanks, Sophie, of course I didn't cook it! I hope you 'll ever see one in reality, it's a fairytale experience. Look around this time near birches and / or poplars, but mostly you don't need to search because of their bright red color. Rabbit from Richmond, United StatesOh they looks so tempting to try and eat... oh how one would regret such a choice after doing so. Wonderful close-up. 5 Oct 2007 5:37pm @Rabbit: Thanks, Rabbit, I hope they'll inspire you for some fine pottery, mushrooms are the cups and bowls of nature :) Seraphine from San Francisco, United StatesThat isn't real, is it? It is?!!! 5 Oct 2007 9:45pm @Shadowhawk: Thanks Shadowhawk! aggie from Singapore, SingaporeNever saw mushrooms so pretty. Thanks to Sophie for alerting that they are not edible. Good shot! 6 Oct 2007 4:44am @aggie: Thanks, Aggie, I'm so glad to please so many people with this shot! If they were edible maybe the species wouldn't exist anymore :) Judit from Montbui, Spaingreat clors!! it seems that a goblin had to go out from behind all of a sudden 7 Oct 2007 3:04am sithenah from Greater Manchester/Cheshire, United KingdomAh you have them too - my photo of the ones I saw last year are not as vivid as this. 10 Oct 2007 9:14pm @sithenah: Thanks, but, as Wolfgang remarked, you left much of the surroundings, the surroundings of these ones are only green grass, not very interesting. Every pro has its con (Johan Cruijff introduced this saying in our language). |
