During the time you can pick blackberries for the jam, the farmers are busy cleaning the ditches through their land from reed and waterplants that have been thriving during summer. If you don't clean them, then within a couple of years half the province would be a big swamp. In the background a cleaning machine is visible.

@Rabbit: Dear Rabbit, from 31 October on I'll post exclusively in series. First there will be a series of 8 about the theme "Reed Land" (landscape pictures around my village, with water, reeds etc.), after that I planned a series about "food". I have already some interesting food pictures but will certainly add jam making pictures, thank you for your suggestion!
