This kind of mills have been introduced from the USA in our country around 1900, and we called them "wind engines". You see them still everywhere working, but this one seems to be abandoned and delivered to nature.
I'm aware this series might be somewhat dull for people who like action and dynamic subjects, but I like this kind of pictures. They represent the almost casual beauty of simplicity in Nature, many views are exactly the same as thousands years ago. (Not htis one of course :))

@Rabbit: Yes, but this one has lost its beams :). Anyhow, I read the name "wind engine" in thé manual about mills we have in the Netherlands. It's the translation of the Dutch name "windmotor".
Windmotor hummm thats a good description for it.
