Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomAwwwww, this is priceless!! I love all the spontaneous positions you've caught them in, Erik! ;) Marvellous composition, colours and contrast. 19 Nov 2007 5:39am Sriram from Chennai, IndiaErik, Sweet moment this one... Lovely tones on this image! Very good again! 19 Nov 2007 8:06am @Sriram: Thank you Sriram but let's face it: these are simple family pictures, but maybe just because of that they lack the sophistication of "great photography" and go directly to the heart! On the other hand when I want to make "great photography" I often feel the limitations of my camera, especially in dark environments (blurredness no matter if you use ISO 100 or ISO 400, its maximum), I'll show you tomorrow. MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomAhhhhh! this is a brilliant capture and a great composition Erik, it looks like he's having more fun playing the clown than he would drying the dishes! 19 Nov 2007 11:27am @MaryB: The text below should be here but sometimes I'm distracted and fill in text in the first textbox I see! BTW I forgot that me too was withdrawing myself from my dishdrying duties by playing around with the camera, so I gave a bad example to my son :) Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsIt looks like that MaryB, you can see how men are, it starts already when they are children, which they remain, but according to the H. Gospel we have to be like them :) 19 Nov 2007 11:40am Rabbit from Richmond, United StatesI really like the little girl -its like she is a small version of the lady. They both are wearing similar style/cut skirt and their shirts both go up on the right side as well as they both have their elbows out with their heads tilted to the left. And the little boy is just showing exactly how different he is compared to the girls. See and you thought you just took an ordinary photo. 19 Nov 2007 2:28pm @Rabbit: Thanks so much Rabbit now I see it, too! Sometimes others pick up more from pictures than the photographer himself, I saw something in it but didn't know what and you worded it for me! Maybe I'm a bit familyblind and the funny thing is also that the girl isn't family, but the boy is!! KMF from Kerala,Kalpakanchery, Indianice i like the helping mentality 19 Nov 2007 6:50pm @Tim: Merci beaucoup, Tim, c'est un honneur pour moi de recevoir un compliment du capital du monde des vins! peter from oosterwolde, NetherlandsWat goed dat je dit moment hebt gepakt. Emotionele waarde. Vergeet ik altijd. Te gewoon denk ik dan, maar nu ik het zie, heel hartveroverend. 19 Nov 2007 8:51pm Wolfgang Prigge from Granby, Québec, CanadaBoys will be boys.... Ich war auch kein guter Tellertrockner as ich jung war. 19 Nov 2007 9:47pm |
