When I had posted a picture of blackberries-on-their-shrub, Rabbit seduced me to promise to publish a picture of jam-making. But alas, there are no blackberries any more. I thought maybe applesauce would be an alternative, and I decided to make it.

@MaryB: :D Thanks, MaryB,! We call these apples "goudreinetten" (literally: "golden little queens") and they are suited for apple sauce, apple pie and other cooking but not for eating as-they-are, because they have very strong, sour taste, which is siftened during the cooking process. But they look very fine, you are right!

Absolutely totally scrumptious!!! My daughter loves apples, Erik! She insists on having at least one a day…. This photo will delight her to no end ;)

Mmmmm appalsauce - i like HOT appalsauce. I do not appreciate the cold canned stuff from the store, nope. But fresh homemade and warm or hot YUM! i'm excited save a bowl for me - i'll have it with my Gingerbread man drink. hummm i guess i should make that politally correct... Gingerbread Person drink. Because you are right i am a Lady and it does sound funny to say i'm drinking a Mans drink! Cheers
