@MaryB: Yes, and the municipality is worrying about it, because to straighten the path they have to cut off the roots which will threaten the tree's life, and this will result in angry citizens :(. On the other hand if they save the tree they run the risk of (fatal?) accidents and this also will result in misery! A real dilemma, mostly the tree will be sacrificed. Better a dead tree than a lifelong handicapped citizen (and high costs for the municipality).

@Rags: I'm glad to do something in return for the inspiration you give me, too :)

@Soodabeh: Thanks Soodabeh, many times it's people's fault they damage their paths and roads, they are laid down too close to trees.

@peter: I see culture as one of nature's products, like e.g. Spinoza did. Nature can do without human culture in our eyes (not the other way around), but maybe it's an essential part of it (although this seems hardly thinkable), so in this sense (if it's true that nature can do without culture) nature is stronger than culture.
