Achmea Tower 2 - Leeuwarden 5

At the same walk from the railway station to my work I took this one. Unfortunately camera and processing propgram (Picasa and MS picture manager) weren't able to register the subtle morning light here 100% satisficing but that's the way it is. The other aspects of the image I found interesting enough to post it. It's an art to be satisfied with a not-perfect result :).

@Dhini: Dank je wel Dhini, Leeuwarden lijkt wel een beetje op Dordrecht, ook veel water, kanalen en bruggen, prachtige stad met een mooie toren, ik heb daar ook zwart-wit-foto's gemaakt, die ik in een donkere kamer ontwikkelde. Ik heb daar ook gewerkt van 1973-1975, op de "Streekschool voor Werkende Jongeren" zoiets bestaat nu niet meer, dat is ROC geworden.

@peter: Totally agree, a pity for the piece of trash floating in the canal, but maybe that's how it is.

Thanks, e.! Yes, we don't need that tall buildings we simply build them along a canal and they get twice their length :)

This is superamazing!!! You are a genius Erik! I challenge any one to try and do it better - don't think they will. This is a perfect capture - your buildings & horison is straight, the reflections are complete... meaning nothing was cut off in the process - overall this is a superb superb superb photograph! WELL DONE!

@Ina: Ina that's too much, but thanks! I was also dependent on the light and weather and simply took the occasion whilst walking from the station to my work, if you were there and had a camera with you, you HAD TO shoot a picture!

i think this is a wonderful shot! This really has an early morning feel despite the camera not showing us really how beautiful it is there.
