Because family and going from and to my work are interwoven, I mix two short series: one family visit (starting yesterday) and Railway Crossing (starting today).
When you want to see the crossing in bright daylight in June, please click here.
Here you see the crossing during the time I was producing camera and tripod from my bike bag and install them. The day after tomorrow you 'll see the train passing.
Thank you for visiting my p-blog and leaving your comment and advice!

@ajoeh: Thanks, Ajoeh! I just received your comment and it's now 10.30 AM here. It must be evening in Lombok, and in the USA too early to get up. Interesting to see when you get comments from parts of the world on what time of the day! Tripods are not very expensive, I just bought a table tripod (only three flexible "legs" each 20 cm. long, to be put on a table, a wall, or whatever)for 5 Euros (about 6 US dollars) and if you can afford a camera like you have it mustn't be too difficult to buy a tripod, I surely recommend one.
I'm aware that in Indonesia 6 US dollars is far more "value for money" than it is here. I hope we get the insight that we in Europe can do with much less and share the wealth of the world with more people, I think we are urged to in order to survive, this is also a lesson we learned from what took place just yesterday on your neighbor island! (These heavy words caused by such a simple thing like a tripod:)
Ik houd van de halo van het licht, tres belle composition mon ami...

@Wolfgang Prigge: Merci Wolfgang!
Well well, this must be in Tietjerksteradiel. (nice pronounciation exercise for all these people around the world :))
nice composition!

Thanks, Pteer. But it's Tytsjerksteradiel, but that's the name of the municipality, Hurdegaryp, Burgum and Earnewâld also belong to it. The name of the village where the crossing lies, is Tytsjerk. Glad that at least a few people like nightly railway crossings, I can imagine that there are more exciting places :). Goeje en oant Snein!
