In the surrounding park of De Oxerhof there is an amphitheatre where plays can be performed in the open air. The theatre is designed by one of the members of the philosophical association owning the place. More pictures of this wonderful piece of architecture will follow.

@eddy: Thanks for your comment Eddy, and happy New Year! Unfortunately I don't have a wide-angle lens and the local situation didn't permit another POV.

@Ina: Thanks, no it wasn't late afternoon, the sun doesn't rise higher this time of the year, it was around 2 PM, at 5 PM we have full darkness. But from now on we get longer days step by step.
Sehr schöne Farben, gutes Licht. Hier haben wir solche Plätze in den National Parks und die Ranger geben dort Abends Vorträge über alle möglichen Aspekte des jeweiligen Parks.

@HorseRotorVator: No, unfortunately I didn't see one, the theatre isn't used due to lack of actors, I made a proposal to let the local / regional play associations use it, they are studying it. (committee-work, you kinow :). Thanks for the comment!
i get a real oldfashioned classic feeling looking at this picture. Beautiful.

Truly a beautiful scene. Wonderfully serene feel. Much thanks too for your detailed response to my question yesterday. I appreciate it. :)

@Rebecca: My pleasure Rebecca! It's something that keeps my head busy although one has to take care not to be too busy in one's head :) - they also do a lot on meditation but when I try to meditate my head gets heavier and heavier and my neck hurts under its weight :)
Wow - thats wonderful... What a treasure of curves.

@Rabbit: Yes, I think the architect must also have taken this PoV when designing the theatre, its lines fit wonderfully into the parkscape.
I like the juxtaposition of commity and work in your answer to HorseRotorVator. In my experience this is often mutually exclusive.

... a contradictio in terminis you mean ... That's why most industries now have invented so-called "task forces" which is the same but sounds more like work :)
