Street firework #1

I think now it's time to show something of our street activities on January 1, directly after midnight. Now, ten days after the "celebrations", I've mixed feelings about it, because this tradition ends up nowadays in pollution and violence (in Holland 22 schools and almost 100 cars burnt down). The pollution was clearly noticed in a thick fog around midnight caused by the mini-particles in th air. The noise was terrible, the banging with illegal firework was louder than ever before and little children and animals were frightened everywhere.
Not a good start of the New Year, but the government is preparing measures to prevent the excesses for next year, and in our street we enjoyed small fireworks like shown and the mutual wishes of course when everyone went outside to shake hands with the neighbors :)
