Lauwersmeer #1: Fisher Harbour

Posted by Illuci (Hurdegaryp, Netherlands) on 29 January 2008 in Transportation and Portfolio.

A high price is paid for the fish
Famous sentence in a theatre play by Herman Heyermans, which became a proverb in the Netherlands; it expresses the tough lives of fishermen and their families, not that the fish is expensive for the customer.
A stormy, rainy day in the harbour. It's no weather for fishing (windforce 8 Beaufort). On top of that, it's Sunday and most fishermen are orthodox Christians not working on Sundays.
