Intermezzo: The 4 Lego BoysPosted by Illuci (Hurdegaryp, Netherlands) on 4 March 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. Four old friends of mine, giving a concert at the occasion of my one year membership of Aminus3 :). I felt encouraged and supported by co-member e., who kept following me with her comments, even in times when I didn't comment on her pictures. Thank you e., and thank you Aminus3! (Of course I also thank all the other photographers for their beautiful and inspiring photos and their comments on mine). My other photo-site: click here for Flickr

e. from New York, NY, United StatesAwesome! It looks like you're supported by everyone. :) Thank you for the.. well.. thank you. It's also a pleasure for me, because I learn a lot from looking at your photos and looking at what works. I feel like in the time I've spent in this community, I hope my photography has slightly improved. :) Keep it going! Oh and if you ever have a chance, send me one of those shirts! They're awesome. 4 Mar 2008 8:23am Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsThanks, e, I'll see what I can do. If I look at my first pictures I also see an improvement. I'm honored to hear that somebody learns from my pictures, I do the same from yours, your idea of the lonely crow I found fascinating; I can imagine however that some people might find it a bit monotonous, many times I have that "problem" too, that I see: this is awesome, but that I have second thoughts on how others might find it. I decided to go my own way and if people reject it, it's their taste. So many people, so many tastes! About the shirts: I'll ask where they are obtainable, and if I can get hold on one then I send you one. Maybe if you go to Lego on Internet? But I try. 4 Mar 2008 8:39am Shuva Brata Deb from Hyderabad, IndiaCongratulations, getting 362 images in just 1 year is a big achievement. Keep those pictures coming. 4 Mar 2008 8:47am Jason Kravitz from Brussels, Belgiumcongrats indeed - a year of dedicated photoblogging is an honorable achivement! 4 Mar 2008 10:37am vu@granby - Wolfgang Prigge from Granby, QC, CanadaHerzlichen Glückwunsch! HorseRotorVator from Newton, United StatesThe third guy over looks like one of the three stooges. :) Erik, you ARE one of the coolest guys I've met. Smart and kind all the time. Everyone should check out your blog. You're a great role model and a top notch person. And a great photographer too! ;) I look forward every time to checking out your blog. 4 Mar 2008 11:52am @HorseRotorVator: I always keep in mind that someone you know from a blog you know only partly - my friends and family and colleagues certainly see my deficiencies, at the most you can say that I portray myself as a nice guy :), but thank you for your qualifications which make me blush ... I checked the portraits of the 3 stooges and now I understand why his face seemed to be familiar when I first met him, of course!! He is BTW also a very humorous person. Rabbit from Richmond, United StatesTheir shirts are cool. I bet they were a joy to hear! 4 Mar 2008 4:35pm the lightwriter from oosterwolde, NetherlandsHi Iluci, what was the song they were singing? Proficiat met je éénjarig jubileum. I enjoy you being my brother on this blog . Thanks for inviting me on AM3. 4 Mar 2008 8:01pm @the lightwriter: They are members of my club, and I can't remember the song anymore but I'm sure they have it recorded somewhere, I'll ask for a copy. AM3 keeps also contacts between us vivid for which I'm glad. Scarabaeus from Manchester, United KingdomCongratulations, keep up the good photos. 4 Mar 2008 9:10pm MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomCongratulation Erik that is a remarkable achievement :) 4 Mar 2008 10:28pm standley from Brou-sur-Chantereine, FranceCongratulations Erik. It's been and it will always be a pleasure to stop here! 4 Mar 2008 10:41pm Sujit Sudhi from Hyderabad, IndiaCongratulations ! You ought to be proud of your achievement. BTW, i have left my email address in this comment, so that you can email me the picture of the boats without the gull :) 5 Mar 2008 1:20am @Sujit Sudhi: But of course, that I didn't think about it!! This evening I send you the gull-less picture, I'm proud to be able to get it removed with my new gimp program. You see absolutely nothing any more (I mean the gull of course:)) |
