Hurdegaryp: Ot en Sien farm

Posted by Illuci (Hurdegaryp, Netherlands) on 6 March 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

When the fox preaches the passion, farmer, take care of your geese!
Dutch proverb, meaning: be cautious with possibly unreliable people speaking beautiful words!

Ot and Sien were two Dutch children book kids (4-6 years old) invented by the childrens' author Jan Ligthart in the beginning of the 20th century. This scene seems to be taken directly from these books which are still read in our country. If you look well you can see the two sitting at the right bottom corner of the door.
