The green, green grass of home!
March moves its tail ("Maart roert zijn staart") Dutch proverb, meaning that in March you can expect any kind of weather, especially chilly, stormy an rainy weather types.
This is awesome photo-weather, but you need to be very quick in getting the camera, switching it on and tuning it in, because every ten seconds the light and sky and the landscape are different. I already made a couple of failed attempts that day, all between the normal activities.
I'm not 100% satisfied because I had to sharpen up the image a bit, but on the other hand it looks like a 17th century painting, so too much crisp isn't good either.
Please put your image on large for a better view.

@Saeed: Thanks Saeed, I appreciate compliments from people living in such an amazingly beautiful country like Iran!
Lovely composition and particularly like the tree on the top left against this stormy sky. Well done!

@ManuelaR: Danke schön, Manuela! Nur Schade dass es keine Kühe gab, man wagt es nicht sie draussen zu lassen wegen Krankheiten die sie bedrohen.

@Helma: Ah! If only we would be able to visit each other's beautiful places then we would swop and come to your splendid landscape scenes
I love the green pastures and the sky, the landscape looks like the area around Münster in Westphalia...

A lovely composition Erik, I really love the fresh spring green fields with the sheep enjoying the lush grass. A beauitful landscape.

@MaryB: Thanks MaryB, I'd rather like to see some cows here, but the farmers are afraid of all kinds of diseases and many don't dare let them in the meadows anymore :(

@kairospix: You are so right Kairospix, see my answer to GJC. Thanks.
I love this, and you're right, it looks like an old Dutch painting. I particularly like that branch in the upper left. Beautiful colors, too!

@GJC: Thanks GJC! It's a miracle how Internet can teach us a lot about each other's beautiful countries!
It is very nicely composed....just as you intended it to look, like a canvas....if it weren't for those electric wires!!! I know.....the tribute we pay for civilization! (We'd get crazy WITHOUT all the gadgets!)
10 Mar 2008 10:26am
@Japanalia: Thanks Japanalia, I don't worry so much about the wires, one way or another they also fit into the composition aligning the rythm of the shapes.
perfect! :) i would really like to visit this place.

@Ina: Baie dank, Ina, ik kom vaker langs jou want je staat onder mijn blog watch, jammer dat er geen koeien waren.
Hi iluci! Nice view! you make me happy with the grey and the blue and the white of the sky. I don't know what i have tothink of the electricity cables. They are part of this era and at the same time they annoy me.
10 Mar 2008 1:41pm
@the lightwriter: Thanks Peter! I could remove them with my new program, but that takes lots of time. PLease don't let yourself be annoyed by it, one way or another the cables have a function in the picture, following the rythm of the composition like music lines :)
I love this green so much! Very nice!

@Eleftheria, 9 years old,: Thanks Eleftheria, I've put you in my blog watch so I'll visit you more often!
Très belle composition. L'éclairage est magique!

@standley: Merci bien, Standley, mon plaisir ( don't know if this is good French but I like the words)!
Oh yes, it is very green, like in the legendary Scotland! I like hte clouds!

@Porcsin: Thanks Porcsin!
This is AWESOME. So beautiful. Its a scene waiting to be painted. The clouds are so dramatic. I don't mind the electric cables. They somehow seem to be part of the scene - also from a compositional point of view, add interest to the lower portion of the sky.

@Sujit Sudhi: Thank you Sujit! I'm also happy with the picture, and I agree about the cables.
beautiful view, nicely composed.
