A school class entertaining themselves with "juf" (female teachers are called "juf") on the square before the St. James Church during lunch break. I had also lunch break so I could shoot this. In Leeuwarden the city centre has some places with a village appearance, this is one of them.

It sure looks more like a village square than a town square! I really like this action shot....

@ineketjallinks: Ja, hier dus! Ik stond er ook van te kijken. Misschien doen ze een project "oude spelletjes" :)
Wonderful capture. Love the bright colors. The children look like they're having fun.

It is fun when all the friends get together.

Nice, lively shot. I can't believe those little houses (?) are so small and yet have two floors.

How lovely to see children playing together happily with no gadgets or gizmos, just a simple skipping rope, a great catch Erik.

It's very good that the teachers show "oude spelletjes" to the kids, I'm really enthousiastic about it!

Hi big brother! Great capture! Nice bright and full with action. Despite very calme as well. Beautifull composition and "viewleading" because of the rope.

The houses in the background give a nice feeling to this shot! They look like grandparents smiling over the children jumping the rope. A slice of life that warms the heart!
