One wonders why such a barn isn't broken down but simply left to its fate...

Wonderful textures and light Erik, it has an almost sad face, with the thatch as the hair and the windows for eyes. A great find.

@Sujit Sudhi: Oops, you just hit the painful spot :), only by processing I tried to diminish the over-exposure. I've my camera always on "aperture priotirity" so that it selects the proper shutter time automatically, mostly in sunny weather I have to give it 1 or more stops extra or less, this time I was a bit mistaken. But the final result was that satisying that I took the little over-exposure "in the bargain":)

sorry i have not been visiting your pblog regularly - actually i haven't been visiting any pblog for a long time as i can only afford time to post-process a shot for the day and post it...

i like your shot today - it does look like a sad face as noted by MaryB... and it does look abandoned as you have observed...

maybe it's not torn down but left as it is so that tourists and passerbys can see it and not forget that it once existed... :)
