Old barn

About 3 months ago I posted the same object, now you can see a small tree is trying to grow next to the door.

It looks very old, maybe it was a house many years ago..? The diamond shaped window looks good.

@Observing: Thanks Observer, no, it was a barn not a house, I was also fascinated by the diamond shapes. The barn must be very, very old considering its model, stemming from the time that this area was a poor land of sheepkeeping and almost no farming, it was the poor part of Fryslan, a few miles futher start the claygrounds where the rich farmers lived. I find it a pity that they let these barns decay, it could have been restored, it was one of the rare remaining farmer or sheep barns or stables. You pay a capital now for covering your roof with reeds, then it was the poor man's roof cover because of the abundance of reeds around here and the low wages of reeds harvesters.

It's an interesting contrast to the previous image; I like this much better. The green life emerging adds much interest (and color) to the muted bricks of the little house.

I thought I recognized this, yet it is so different. This old structure being consumed by growth is charming and full of character. The window is unique. Excellent framing of the shot. Overall it is a fabulous image.
