Phase 3 of getting horses into a truck

Posted by Illuci (Hurdegaryp, Netherlands) on 26 July 2008 in Animal & Insect.

Here you see how they do the finishing touch, I stop this series after this one because the men still had to do a lot (persuading one stubborn horse and closing fences) before they closed the truck and drove away.
Interesting material but I was too far away and could make these 3 shots only thanks to my 10x zoom compact camera (Canon Powershot SX100 IS).

Adding this to some comments of friends who hate animals in captivity or used for sports: yes I agree that animals are best off when they are in wildlife. Horses are domesticated since older-than-ancient times. I've seen horses dancing on music, when the music took another rythm they followed the rythm. Horses give signs when they don't feel well (ears, posture etc.). These horses all showed they were happy and enjoyed their contacts with people who all were very kind to them. I think the same holds for other domesticated animals such as dogs (I own one). On the other hand, animals are very dependent on how humans treat them and matreatment of animals in whatever form should be, and is, severely punished. I hate e.g. bull fighting and I know that the government of Spain is trying to ban this "game" but doesn't succeed 100% because politics are involved. I hope you will respect this opinion of mine like I respect yours and we will continue to enjoy photoblogging.
